These are EXTREMELY hard to break in. They're made well, so I'm assuming that they run small. Also, socks are a must with these babies. After a few wearings without socks, they smell terrible, my feet smell terrible, and I'm constantly dowsing them with foot powder. That's the bad news. The good news is that they're extremely comfy once broken in. I could wear them forever. Unfortunately, you'd be able to smell me coming from the next state over if I did so :/
