Patagonia's Men's Primo Down Jacket: Our warmest waterproof down 3-layer jacket for big-mountain skiers and riders who need the ultimate warmth and weather protection.
The deep-freeze temperatures of Bozeman’s Bridger Bowl can’t foil this ultrawarm, waterproof jacket. It has plush 700-fill down insulation to warm the coldest arctic blasts, and a bomber 3-layer shell with two-way stretch for motion-friendly flex. Welded seam construction throughout reduces weight and improves wet-weather performance. The unique liner incorporates ventilating mesh panels to suspend the down and keep fresh air flowing between insulation and shell. The powder skirt has a lift-pass holder and webbing loops that connect to any Patagonia® Ski/Snowboard pants; a three-way-adjustable hood accommodates a helmet. Pockets: two handwarmers, an interior drop-in pocket, a bicep pocket and two chest pockets (one padded to hold an audio device).

Worth every cent of the $549, the Patagonia Primo DOWN jacket is incredibly warm while being incredibly light(36 ounces). Unlike other down jackets this one fits trim to the body, and not all puffed out. Whether you ski or not(I don't) this jacket is as warm or warmer than other heavy-weight bulky expedition coats I tried. In 20 degree weather there is no need for anything but a shirt underneath when taking a walk. If you get too warm in it, just unzip the two panels on the front of the jacket to cool down. A lot of products usually aren't worth the money-this definitely is.(don't confuse this with the Patagonia Primo jacket that is NOT DOWN)
