The Epic's technical upper design and carefully chosen components makes for a light, nimble mountaineering boot. The Epic shares a similar upper design with the Tower GTX (named Editor's Choice by Rock & Ice Magazine), but with a very stiff carbon fiber insole. Great for ice, speed mountaineering, climbing competitions, and big wall climbs.
